Walla Walla Music Boosters Information

The Walla Walla Music Boosters believe music is a fundamental universal language. We believe all children should receive the highest quality of music education possible starting as early as possible. We believe music education is vital to lifelong learning. To further these beliefs, we provide support to the Walla Walla Public Schools Music Program in the form of funds and volunteer hours.

The Walla Walla Music Boosters support all of the Walla Walla School District Music programs.
Music is an integral part of our student’s educational, social and emotional growth. We are fortunate that the Walla Walla School District offers music at every grade level and provides the opportunity for every child to participate. While the district provides funding for music, instruments, and staff, other important items, such as field trips, uniforms, supplies, instrument replacement/repair and scholarships for lessons are not funded.

The Walla Walla Music Boosters organization is dedicated to helping fund the music program for our students.
Music students are often leaders in the school and community, exemplary citizens, and honor scholars. The skills students develop through participation in the district’s music program include: teamwork, a strong work ethic (practice), self-confidence, organizational skills, music appreciation and appreciation of each individual’s talents.

Who belongs to the Music Boosters?
People like you!  Parents, educators, alumni, community members, corporate sponsors and students who understand the value of music in our lives and the positive impact this program has on our community. If you are a parent with a student just entering the school system, a grandparent, or music enthusiast, we need your support.

• You can help by supporting the music programs in our schools, encourage your kids to participate, attend music concerts, music events, and supporting your school district’s music educators.
• You can help by volunteering for organizing fundraising committees, volunteering to help out at fundraisers, and attending Board meetings.
