Congratulations Cheerleaders

In 2018-2019 Walla Walla Public Schools started a new tradition of honoring state champion individuals and teams at a board meeting. Students and teams qualify for this recognition by finishing in the top three at state for athletics, music, drama, FFA, FBLA, debate, JROTC and any other state qualifying activities.

This is an opportunity for these outstanding students to be recognized by the Superintendent and School Board. During the March 19 school board meeting, board members had the opportunity to congratulate the Walla Walla High School Cheerleading team.

Cheerleaders and Head Coach Morgan Arreola and Assistant Coach Kaytlyn Dahlin

This year the cheerleaders took 2nd Place in the 3A/4A Non-Tumbling event & 3rd Place in the 3A/4A Game Day category.

Coach Arreola says these athletes represent the definition of hard work. She says this season hasn’t been as smooth as we would have liked but that didn’t matter. They understood the hard work they needed to put in, no matter the obstacle they pushed through. They work hard for themselves, for each other, and for the community.
