Child Find Special Needs Screening Program

Special Education Director Libby Thompson encourages parents who believe their child age birth-to-21 may have a disability to contact the Special Education Department at (509) 526-6724 or contact the school psychologist or learning specialist at your child’s school.

A screening or review of all your child’s data, including outside records, will be completed and the results shared with you. If the screening indicates a need for further testing, a comprehensive evaluation will be done with your consent. Upon qualification for special education services, you will be a part of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) drafted for your child. Extra services will be available through an IEP.
