FBLA Leaders Shine

Walla Walla High School FBLA club members Magnus Frederickson (freshman), Luci Sullivan (sophomore), Hannah Peha (junior), and Lauren Bergman (senior) traveled to Baltimore, Maryland this summer for the Future Business Leaders of America National Leadership Conference.

The students were chaperoned by the club advisor and WWHS business department teacher Mr. Bernard Ma. The students visited Washington D.C, competed in multiple events, attended workshops, and met other students from across the country. Luci and Magnus both participated in objective test events, Intro to Business Communication and Intro to Business respectively.

Hannah and Lauren partnered up for the Management Decision Making event, a two-part event that involves both an objective test and presentation. Only the top 15 teams compete in the presentation round. Hannah and Lauren made it finals and were given a prompt and 20 minutes to give a seven minutes presentation to a mock “board of directors”. They then made it to the stage at the awards ceremony and placed second in the nation.
