Women in Engineering Event

Recently 36 female students attended the Women in Engineering career exploration event. Guest speakers from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Key Technology and WWCC shared why engineering studies and careers are good choices for women.

Students were encouraged to take courses in science and math in high school and when the going gets tough in college classes, stay the course - the rewards are worth it!  Women are in high demand in the engineering workforce and currently only make up 20% of all engineers nationally. Engineering careers provide flexibility, high income earning potential, work that helps people and job opportunities around the globe.
