SEATech students compete at Boeing

On Saturday March 24 students from SEATech’s Advanced Manufacturing and Welding Technology class participated in the SkillsUSA Aerospace Assembler competition held at Boeing’s Everett plant. Students had to complete a hands on skill project in addition to an interview and resume portion. This was the first time SEATech competed in this event and the students placed as high as 8th place out of 60+ students competing.

In addition to competing at Boeing on Saturday students were able to tour the Divers Institute of Technology and Electroimpact on Friday. Electroimpact is a highly experienced provider of factory automation and tooling solutions. The Divers Institute of Technology provides students with the skills necessary to be successful in the commercial diving underwater welding field. These tours help to show students some opportunities they have post high school.
