FBLA National Champion!

Congratulations to Walla Walla High School student Missy Manny for taking first place in the Microsoft Excel competition at the Future Business Leaders of America National Program. Manny earned a $1300 prize for her accomplishment.

“She worked long hours after school before the competition to prepare,” said recently retired teacher Gay Buissink. “She deserves recognition. She is the National Champion!”

Classmate Emily Johnson also shined at the FBLA national competition. Johnson took 5th place in the Microsoft Word competition.

The FBLA National Awards Program, also known as competitive events, recognizes and rewards excellence in a broad range of business and career-related areas. The events also prepare students for successful careers in business by providing opportunities to apply classroom concepts in a workforce-simulated competitive environment.
