AP students use Whitman Science labs
Students from Peggy Payne and Mary Burt's AP Biology classes visited Whitman College to use state-of-the art microcopy equipment as well as to learn more about how their Scanning Electron Microscope works. Students also had a campus tour. Many thanks to Heidi Chapin, Emily Hamada, Michelle Shafer and Sarah Clark for organizing the morning.
In addition, earlier in May, Professor Doug Juers, also of Whitman College, came to Wa-Hi and taught AP Biology students an informative class on X-ray crystallography and some applications in biology.
