Meet Pioneer MS Principal Finalists

Walla Walla Public Schools announced Mindy Meyer, Stephanie Wooderchak and Kristina Duncan have been named finalists for the Pioneer Middle School Principal position following an extensive applicant screening process. Parents and staff are encouraged to meet candidates Thursday, April 13 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. during public meet and greet sessions at the Pioneer Middle School Library. Attendees are asked to complete candidate feedback cards and be present, if possible, for all three candidate sessions.

Meyer is currently serving as Assistant Principal at Walla Walla High School. She also has 14 years of experience teaching English at Walla Walla High School and was a project director for the Center for Strengthening the Teacher Profession.

Wooderchak has been the secondary (grades 6-12) principal at Waitsburg Public Schools for the past nine years. She was also superintendent, principal and English teacher at Winifred Public School (K-12) in Winifred MT prior to her tenure in Waitsburg. Wooderchak spent three years as principal of the K-12 campus at Byers Independent Schools in Byers, TX.

Duncan is assistant principal at Davis Elementary in College Place. She was also an administrative intern at Walla Walla High School for two years and an English teacher at Walla Walla High School for nine years.

- 4 p.m.               Candidate Mindy Meyer

- 4:30 p.m.          Candidate Stephanie Wooderchak

- 5 p.m.               Candidate Kristina Duncan

 

Current Principal Mira Gobel has accepted a leadership position at ESD 123 in Pasco. Her last day is June 30. The new principal will report July 1.
