Congratulations to Prospect Point students on the school’s math team for taking first place in last weekend’s Walla Walla Valley Elementary School Math Contest at Blue Ridge Elementary. This annual event, sponsored by Walla Walla School District and organized by volunteer Laura Schueller, included a series of four timed problem sets that test the mathematical thinking of 4th and 5th grade students. This year, a total of 92 students from Assumption, Berney, Blue Ridge, Davis, Edison, Green Park, Prospect Point, and Sharpstein elementary schools competed. Kai Lincoln from Edison Elementary took first place honors in the individual competition. Congratulations to all these outstanding students:
