Wa-Hi students top area students to win Pitch-It competition

Walla Walla High School students Madyson Gabriel and Jennifer Cho took First Place in the Pitch-It competition in celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) November 17-23. This year, themed “Pitch It!” and inspired by the TV show, Shark Tank, the competition provided a vehicle for students to design and develop innovative business concepts. The Pitch It! competition required students to create a realistic business model for their entrepreneurial idea.

GEW is the world’s largest celebration of the innovators and job creators, who launch start-ups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. The Wa-Hi students beat teams from Walla Walla University, Whitman College, Walla Walla Community College and College Place High School to take top honors.

Thanks to the teachers, advisors and parent volunteers who worked with the students to prepare them for competition.
