Substitute employees shortage

The district is facing the national trend of a substitute employee shortage. The district typically requires 60 substitutes daily to operate the school district. This figure includes teachers and support staff employees. To date, the district has approximately 110 substitutes on file and ready to work. This number needs to grow according to Substitute Coordinator Stacy Shake.

“Each day we struggle to fill all of the open positions,” Shake said. “I encourage people to visit our website and apply.”
