Berney students cash in on Read-a-Thon earnings

Congratulations to Berney Elementary students Ali Fewell and Kort Holbrook for winning the grand prize of the Berney PTA Read-a-Thon fundraiser. Ali and Kort were the Top Earning Boy and Girl in their school. Their prize included free breakfast at Mr. Ed’s and a ride in the City of Walla Walla’s classic firetruck driven by Firefighter Chris MacDonald. Special thanks to IAFF Local #404 fire fighters and Mr. Ed’s for supporting literacy at Berney Elementary.
