Wa-Hi Grad joins Dream Act ceremony

On February 25, 2014, Ana Andrade, a Walla Walla Community College student and Walla Walla High School Graduate in 2012 attended the ceremony in Olympia where Governor Inslee signed the Real Hope Act, also known as the Dream Act.  

She attended the ceremony as a student representative of WWCC. Ana is also an Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) tutor at Walla Walla High School.  The Real Hope Act gives undocumented college students in Washington State access to state financial aid. This fall, Ana will be transferring to Washington State University to work towards a degree in communications, sociology and criminology.
