SEATech students support Valley Little League

Students in the Construction Technology class at SEATech recently partnered with the Walla Walla Valley Little League to assist in building two new dugouts and remodeling the existing concession stand by adding a second service window as well as a display cabinet for memorabilia.

“This has been a long time coming and on the wish list for the baseball organization,” said Instructor Eric Matson. “The Construction Technology class was approached last fall about the projects and was ready to help out any way possible.”

Students are able to work on estimates, material lists, project management, framing, siding, insulation, sheetrock, roofing, painting, and trim. They have been working hard to complete the projects before the season starts.

“This is the type of job we look for and it's the perfect fit,” said Matson. “It’s a community supported organization giving the class the opportunity to get hands on experience in a real world setting.”
