Walla Walla Public Schools 2017-2018 budget targets Strategic Plan initiatives

Walla Walla Public Schools Board of Directors approved a $75 million General Fund budget for the 2017-2018 school year during its August 29 meeting. This year’s budget includes $850,000 in targeted investments linked to the new Strategic Plan for curriculum adoptions, professional development, technology improvements, student engagement, social and emotional support, safety and Hispanic outreach. Expenditures also include nearly $1 million for a mandatory employer retirement rate increase required by the state of Washington affecting all schools in the state.
