The district’s Community Facilities Task Force, chaired by local businessman and Graduate of Distinction recipient Paul Schneidmiller, met Wednesday to continue its work on a long-range facilities improvement plan. The group toured Pioneer Middle School, Walla Walla High School and Lincoln High School before reconvening to review preliminary conceptual designs developed following staff feedback.
Task Force members will continue their work in July by studying bond financing options and continuing to look at design solutions. A recommendation is expected to be presented to the school board later this fall which will launch a community engagement process to get feedback on proposed facility improvement options. The district has target November 2018 for a bond election.
