Dual Language Kindergarten Application Information

Walla Walla Public Schools is now accepting applications for kindergarten dual language programming for the 2017-18 school year. 
To have your child considered for this exciting opportunity please print and complete the application below, visit any Walla Walla Public Schools elementary building or stop by the district office. Applications will be accepted through March 29, 2017.
Following is a timeline (also included in the application packet):
• March 13-29: Applications accepted (all applicants will be screened)
• March 20 -April 1: Testing/screening period
• April 3-5: Assessment scoring
• April 7: Families notified by mail regarding assessment results
• April 11: Lottery for those students who have tested/screened into the pool for dual programming at Edison School.
April 12: District-wide kindergarten fair
April 17: Open enrollment begins and parents whose children are accepted into dual program placement can pick up kindergarten enrollment packets at Edison School.
May 12: Students accepted into dual placement must be registered.

The application packet has a cover sheet explaining more about the program and screening process and we ask that you hang on to that when you return the application page. Once your application is received, you will be contacted by the Teaching and Learning Department to set up a specific time for your child to be assessed for possible program placement.
