Healthy Kids-Healthy Schools funds water bottle stations
The district received a $9,226 Healthy Kids-Healthy Schools Grant for water bottle filling stations at elementary and middle schools. This update will allow students to easily refill their water bottles while at school. The stations will be in place at the schools next school year. The Legislature appropriated $5 million dollars in the 2015–17 capital budget for OSPI to administer the new grant program. OSPI received 150 grant applications from school districts across the state. Nutrition Services Director Pamela Milleson is leading the project.
