Wa-Hi Head Coaches named

Varsity girls soccer and girls basketball coaches hired
Recently Dana Evans was hired as the Walla Walla High School varsity girls soccer coach. Garrison Middle School Socials Studies teacher and longtime assistant girls basketball coach Conor Fish was named the Wa-Hi girls basketball varsity head coach.

Evans played four years of varsity soccer at East Valley High School in Yakima. Her high school teams were league champions, district champions, and won a state tournament. Throughout her high school career, Evans won all-conference honors and received several team awards.

In college, Evans played varsity soccer for four years at the University of Jamestown in Jamestown, ND. She was an academic all-American, received all-conference honors, and several team awards. Her college team won a league and a regional championship as well as competed at the national tournament. Evans graduated from Jamestown Cum Laude with a dual major in English and History / Political Science with a minor in Philosophy.

After college, she obtained her law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. She graduated Cum Laude and obtained a Juris Doctor specializing in litigation. While obtaining her law degree, she was an Instructional Director for an indoor soccer facility for three years. Since arriving in Walla Walla, she has officiated for Walla Walla Parks and Recreation and coached for Walla Walla United Soccer Club.

Fish is a Walla Walla High School 1996 graduate. He played varsity basketball under Jim Thacker and varsity baseball for Scott Tibbling. Fish has coached at every level, from 6th grade to varsity, in the district for the past 15 years in support of the basketball, football, and baseball programs. He has bee associated with the Wa-Hi basketball program since 2005 as Freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity Assistant Coach.

"I'm very excited to start as head girl's basketball coach at Wa-Hi,” said Fish. “I have been a Blue Devil as both a player and coach and want nothing more than to bring success to my alma-mater."
