Grants fund dental services

Local grants fund dental services to district students
Lincoln High School students will have free dental care at their school from the mobile dental team and other district elementary students will receive dental services and education through Blue Mountain Dental Clinic thanks to grants from the Bald and Garner Esary Trusts. Walla Walla Public Schools received $4000 to fund the project. Lincoln High School students will benefit from four days of dental services utilizing the dental van through “Medical Teams International.”

Dr. Geoff Stuart and Dr. Robert Ruiz from Blue Mountain Dental Care will provide free dental services for several children in February through the program.

“Many of the students who qualify for this program have not seen a dentist for years or have a dental need,” said Jennifer Douglas, district Health Services director. “This generous donation enables the school district to continue to provide and extend these needed dental services to many students. We are also grateful to our dental partners for donating these services to our children.”
