School board member shares life experiences with Whitman College students
WWPS Board Member, Ruth Ladderud, made herself available to Whitman students interested in hearing and learning how their liberal arts education can and will prepare them for a future of significant, community leadership and impact. As a Whitman Biology major, current Whitman staff member and expansive community leader, Ladderud had much to share about interests, passions, gifts, mentors and her journey of growing in capacity, leadership and impact at the local level. The lunch capacity in Memorial 324 was 20 students and it was full.

“Ruth made herself available to students for further discussion around Civic Engagement through email, a coffee chat, etc. which is fantastic,” said Susan Prudente, Outreach Coordinator for the Whitman College Student Engagement Center. “I know that this will not be the last time the Student Engagement Center invites Ruth to share with students. She is a gem and we all know that the Walla Walla community is stronger because of her local leadership through a variety of organizations over the past 20 years.”
