Ballots for Wa-Hi bond proposal mail out voters
Ballots for the Wa-Hi bond election mailed out to voters Friday. The ballots must be completed and postmarked by Tuesday, February 12. This bond is focused on providing a modern high school facility to meet today’s teaching and learning needs.

This proposal calls for modernizing all of the 1963 buildings. Existing roof systems and concrete slabs will be re-used to keep costs down. The plan includes larger classrooms and labs, modern technology, improved heating systems, air conditioning, drama support, security enhancements, a new all weather track and music facility. All state matching dollars will be used on the Wa-Hi project.

Any excess funds from the project, including state matching dollars, will be returned to the taxpayers. Visit the school district website — www.wwps.org — for more information or contact Wa-Hi Principal Pete Peterson for a school tour.
