In order to provide the best possible physical environment for learning and teaching and to efficiently manage the district's present and future facilities needs, a long range facilities plan has been developed in support of the district’s strategic plan. This plan covers a five-year period, is developed in conjunction with the local comprehensive land-use plan and other growth management policies, is reviewed annually and includes at least the following:

    1. A cost analysis of financial ability of the district to implement its facilities program;
    2. Existing and projected enrollment figures, including an analysis of the racial composition of the student population;
    3. An inventory of the district's undeveloped property and developed facilities, including an analysis of the number of students in each facility and whether the facility is over- or under- crowded.
    4. An analysis of the appropriateness of the facilities to meet the needs of students and members of the public, including accessibility to students of both sexes and those with disabilities to ensure that all district services, programs and activities, when viewed in their entirety, shall be accessible to individuals with disabilities;
    5. Recommendations developed by the Community Facilities Task Force in conjunction with the school district as to the sale or other disposition of district property not needed in the future; and
    6. Recommendations developed by the Community Facilities Task Force in conjunction with the school district as to the acquisition, construction or modification of new sites or facilities.
