2240 - Summer School

BOARD POLICY No. 2240

SUMMER SCHOOL

The district's summer school program of instructional offerings will be for the purposes of remediation. Fees may be charged to cover costs for which revenues are not otherwise provided. To the extent that the district can absorb the cost, fees may be waived or reduced for students whose families would have difficulty paying the full fee. The USDA Child Nutrition Program guidelines will be used to determine qualifications for waivers or reductions. Priority in fee waivers and reductions will be given to remediation courses. Parents will be informed of the availability of any fee waivers or reductions in the notice of the summer school program.
